HelicopterX Review

Released on 27th October 2023, HelicopterX is SmartSoft Gaming’s multiplayer crash game built around a diamond heist. A helicopter attempts to lift a giant jewel from its platform while the main multiplier increases.

The Diamond Feature can display a separate boost before the round. If activated, that value transfers into the helicopter multiplier, allowing it to climb more quickly while leaving active wagers exposed to the same random stopping result.

Players can place one or two wagers, collect manually or configure automatic instructions. SmartSoft Gaming currently advertises a 97% RTP and a maximum multiplier of 100,000x, although some operator rule sets continue to list a 96% return.

How to Play HelicopterX

HelicopterX begins with a betting period in which one or two wagers can be placed. The same helicopter and stopping point apply to both active panels.

1. Choose the stake: Enter an amount on the first betting panel. Activate the second panel if you want another wager with its own settings.

2. Check the Diamond display: The separate Diamond Feature area may show a boost for the upcoming journey. Its available value can reach 100.

3. Configure Auto Collect: Enter a multiplier at which either wager should be collected automatically if the helicopter reaches it.

4. Place the bet: Confirm every intended wager before the countdown expires.

5. Follow the attempted theft: The helicopter pulls against the chains attached to the diamond while its main multiplier rises from around 1.00x.

6. Watch for the Diamond Feature: If the feature activates, its displayed value is transferred to the helicopter’s multiplier, accelerating progress towards larger returns.

7. Collect before the mission ends: Press Collect while the helicopter remains active. An uncollected wager loses when the stopping result occurs.

The two panels can use different stakes and collection points. Settling one wager leaves the other active, but both remain attached to the same helicopter round.

Auto Play can repeat selected stakes and Auto Collect instructions across a chosen number of rounds. Common versions also include conditions that stop automatic play after specified win or loss limits.

The centre of the screen shows incoming player bets as the betting period begins. Current wagers and successful collection points remain available through the multiplayer display.

Recent multipliers record previous stopping results. They do not affect the Diamond Feature or indicate when the next helicopter round will end.

HelicopterX - Design

HelicopterX has one of the most distinctive premises we have encountered in a crash game. The helicopter is not simply flying across an empty sky. It is straining to tear a huge diamond from a secured platform.

The giant diamond dominates the scene and provides a strong visual focal point. It is far more memorable than replacing the usual plane with another aircraft and asking it to follow the same flight path.

Its associated feature fits the design equally well. A separate Diamond value appears before the journey and may feed into the main multiplier during play, making the jewel part of the mechanics as well as the scenery.

The boost produces an exciting visual change. The multiplier begins advancing more aggressively, the apparent value of the active wager increases quickly and the decision to collect becomes more urgent.

We also liked how player bets arrive in the centre of the screen before the action begins. Seeing names and amounts rush into the game creates an immediate sense of anticipation, as though a team of players is assembling for the same heist.

This community activity could easily have cluttered the main scene. Instead, it is concentrated around the opening of the round and helps the countdown feel like part of the event.

Sound adds weight to the concept. Rotor noise, strained movement and feature cues make the attempted lift feel more physical than a vehicle gliding smoothly across a background.

The two betting panels are conventional SmartSoft controls and remain easy to identify. Current returns are shown prominently, which is particularly important when the Diamond Feature causes the multiplier to move more quickly.

Long sessions will still repeat the same attempted theft. The diamond does not move to a new location and the underlying sequence remains largely unchanged, but the random boost prevents every journey from developing at an identical pace.

HelicopterX takes a familiar decision and gives it a much better visual explanation. The heist theme, central diamond and rush of incoming bets combine into a presentation that feels properly connected to its mechanics.

HelicopterX - Win Potential

SmartSoft’s current promotional material lists a 97% RTP for HelicopterX, equivalent to a 3% theoretical house edge.

Some operators have HelicopterX at an RTP of 96% instead. The live information panel should therefore be checked before play, as a one-percentage-point difference materially changes the long-term return.

The helicopter multiplier can reach 100,000x. This is an exceptional ceiling, and the likelihood of reaching the later values decreases sharply as the journey continues.

The separate Diamond value can reach 100. When activated, it is transferred to the helicopter’s value and allows the displayed multiplier to advance more quickly.

The boost does not guarantee that the wager will be collected. The round can finish before or during the transfer, leaving any unsettled stake lost despite the feature appearing.

A faster climb changes how quickly larger returns become available. It does not allow the player to control the stopping point or remove the house edge built into the round.

Both betting panels use the same helicopter result. Different Auto Collect targets can divide the two wagers between earlier and later exits, although a sufficiently early ending can defeat both instructions.

The recent-results feed and incoming player stakes do not alter the next outcome. Large bets appearing at the centre of the screen add atmosphere without influencing whether the Diamond Feature activates or when the helicopter stops.

HelicopterX offers unusually high headline potential and a feature capable of changing the pace dramatically. Its practical value still depends on the active RTP, the casino’s monetary win cap and the multiplier at which the wager is actually collected.

Is HelicopterX Provably Fair?

HelicopterX provides cryptographic information for completed rounds through the recent-results panel.

Selecting a result opens its associated Hash and Result values. The hash is made available as a commitment before the corresponding outcome is revealed, while the result data becomes available after the round.

Hashing the supplied result should reproduce the earlier commitment. A match demonstrates that the disclosed result corresponds with the data committed before the helicopter journey finished.

This process checks a completed round. It does not reveal whether the Diamond Feature will activate or when the next stopping point will occur.
