Money Plane Review

Released on 30th July 2026, Money Plane is an arcade-style flight game from Relax Gaming, set within its legendary Money Train universe. An aircraft launches from a train and travels through values, multipliers, bombs and power-ups before attempting to land on another moving train.

Each wager starts an individual flight. Players choose their stake and one of five volatility levels beforehand, then watch the round resolve automatically. There is no manual cash-out decision or control over the aircraft.

The five levels change the scenery, risk profile and maximum return, with ceilings ranging from 250x to 10,000x. The headline RTP is 97%, although operators can offer lower-return versions.

How to play Money Plane

  1. Choose a volatility level. Use the five-level selector before starting. Each level has a different setting and maximum win, with risk increasing as you move towards Level 5.

  2. Set your stake. Adjust the single bet control and check the amount after changing levels, since the maximum permitted stake varies.

  3. Launch the plane. Press the play or spin button to place the wager. The flight begins with a 1x multiplier and continues automatically.

  4. Follow the objects it hits. Number Icons add their value to the total, Multiplier Icons multiply it, and bombs halve the accumulated multiplier.

  5. Watch for charged power-ups. Special symbols can alter or collect nearby objects once their charger fills. Their effects are automatic.

  6. Let the landing settle the round. A successful landing on the train pays the final multiplier against your stake. If the aircraft crashes instead, the wager and its accumulated value are lost.

Values, multipliers and bombs

Number Icons add between 1 and 10 to the running multiplier. Multiplier Icons apply factors from x2 to x10 to the amount already accumulated. Bombs halve that amount, so the figure can fall as well as rise during the flight.

Power-ups and the charger

Collecting a power-up activates its charger. Subsequent object hits add charge, with four filling the meter. Collected abilities then activate in this order before the charger resets:

  • Necromancer: Converts a rocket into a value or multiplier icon.

  • Payer: Increases the nearest value or multiplier icon.

  • Sniper: Doubles the nearest value or multiplier icon.

  • Collector: Collects the nearest value or multiplier icon.

Collector contributes to the flight’s accumulated value. It does not provide an early cash-out or protect the wager against a failed landing.

Frequent Flyer

Collecting Number Icons, Multiplier Icons and power-ups builds progress towards a Golden Edition plane for the selected stage. The requirements rise from 1,000 objects on Level 1 to 5,000 on Level 5, increasing by 1,000 per level. These aircraft are cosmetic unlocks and do not improve the payouts.

Automatic play

Auto Play and faster play options are available where the operator and market permit them. Auto Play repeats rounds using the selected settings; there is no separate Auto Cash Out target to configure. Each flight settles under the landing rules.

Money Plane has one betting panel and individual rounds rather than a shared multiplayer flight. Previous results remain a record of what happened, not a guide to the next outcome.

Money Plane - Design

Money Train is genuinely considered our collective all-time favourite slot franchise at crashgame HQ, so this spin-off had our attention before the plane took off. Even so, the announcement caught us by surprise. With Money Train 5 already on the horizon around the time of release, this smaller offshoot could easily have been overlooked. That would have been a shame, because we think it has plenty of appeal of its own.

The unique design of each volatility level is truly fantastic. Each brings a different Money Train-inspired environment and aircraft, taking the presentation from its Western roots through steampunk and increasingly futuristic settings. We love that changing the risk also gives us something different to look at. It makes the selector feel like a meaningful part of the game rather than a setting tucked away in a menu.

The flight itself is great fun to follow. Collectible values and hazards give the aircraft a route full of incidents, with each collision changing the apparent fortunes of the journey. A bomb can knock down the multiplier and spoil the plane’s trajectory, while another useful object can keep the action going. There is much more happening here than an aircraft drawing an uninterrupted line across the screen.

Making the train the landing point is a particularly good touch. It connects the two games through something that matters to the result. We are watching to see whether the plane can get back aboard, and that gives the closing moments a clear focus.

The artwork is colourful and detailed without making the main values difficult to identify. The stage selector sits to the left, with the stake, balance and play controls along the bottom. Its broad flight area also lends itself to landscape play on mobile. The orchestral soundtrack, propeller noise and crash effects support the aviation theme.

The changing settings, power-ups and landing sequence make watching the round entertaining enough to carry the format. Frequent Flyer adds a modest visual extra, although we would treat a gold plane as a decorative reward rather than a reason to keep staking.

Money Plane - Win Potential

The headline 97% RTP corresponds to a theoretical house edge of 3%. A 94% configuration raises that edge to 6%, while a 92% version raises it to 8%. Check the percentage in the casino’s game information, since the same title can offer materially different long-term value.

RTP describes a mathematical return over a very large number of wagers. It does not predict the return from your next flight or guarantee a particular session balance. On the 97% version, changing volatility levels does not change that headline percentage.

The five levels offer the following limits:

  • Level 1: Lowest volatility, with a maximum multiplier of 250x and a published maximum stake of 1,000.

  • Level 2: Lower volatility, with a maximum multiplier of 500x and a published maximum stake of 1,000.

  • Level 3: Middle volatility, with a maximum multiplier of 1,000x and a published maximum stake of 1,000.

  • Level 4: Higher volatility, with a maximum multiplier of 5,000x and a published maximum stake of 200.

  • Level 5: Highest volatility, with a maximum multiplier of 10,000x and a published maximum stake of 100.

Stakes commonly start at 0.10. The upper figures are provider limits, with operators and local rules able to impose lower amounts.

The important trade-off is that access to a larger maximum requires a higher volatility setting. Level 1 offers the smallest ceiling and gentlest risk profile; Level 5 provides the largest ceiling with the greatest volatility. A higher setting does not make a large payout more likely on the next wager.

Money Plane also treats time in the air differently from a conventional crash game. A longer flight creates more opportunities to encounter objects, but bombs can reduce the accumulated value. There is no option to take the displayed amount and leave early, and power-ups do not remove the need for a successful landing.

The 10,000x limit is a multiplier, not a separate fixed cash payment. The monetary return depends on the stake, the final awarded multiplier and any applicable operator payout restriction. The highest published stake and highest multiplier belong to different levels, so they should not be combined into an assumed maximum prize.

What we like

  • Five selectable volatility levels pair different risk profiles with distinct Money Train-inspired settings.
  • Four charged power-ups give flights more variety than a steadily rising multiplier.
  • The theme and design ties the entire franchise together and just feels right.

What we don't like

  • There is no manual cash-out or way to intervene once the aircraft launches.
  • The 10,000x ceiling is restricted to the highest volatility level.

The bottom line

4.9/5

Money Plane is one of our favourite variations on the aviation format. The five volatility levels give it worthwhile flexibility, while the changing Money Train settings and eventful flights make it a pleasure to watch. We came to it as fans of the franchise and left feeling that Relax had found a very good use for it beyond the slots.

The lack of a cash-out decision will be its biggest drawback for some players, and that is a fair objection. We barely missed it. The power-ups, setbacks and final attempt to reach the train create their own tension, and the presentation gives us a clear reason to return. Apparently, our favourite railway franchise travels rather well by air.
