Rocketon Review

Released on 1st May 2018, Rocketon places Galaxsys’s crash formula inside a dramatic nighttime launch sequence. A rocket fires its engines while the multiplier climbs from 1.00x, increasing the value of every active bet. Collecting secures the displayed return, while waiting until the rocket breaks up loses the stake.

50% cashout provides the game’s defining decision. Pressing the button collects half of the current return and leaves the other half attached to the rising multiplier. Players gain something from the round while retaining an opportunity to reach a larger figure, although the remaining portion can still be lost.

Two betting positions, Auto Cashout and Auto Bet add further flexibility. Rocketon also includes multiplayer chat and an operator-controlled bonus system, giving casinos the option to award Free Bet or Free Amount promotions. The supporting features have expanded over time, but the 50% Cashout remains the clearest reason to choose Rocketon over a standard all-or-nothing crash game.

How to play Rocketon

Rocketon is divided into short multiplayer rounds, with a betting period taking place before each launch. Choose your stake and submit the wager before the countdown reaches zero. The minimum and maximum amounts depend on the currency and casino offering the game.

  1. Prepare for launch: The multiplier begins at 1.00x and rises as the rocket powers away from the launchpad. The round can finish at a low value or continue long enough to produce a much larger return.

  2. Collect the full amount: Press Cash Out while the rocket remains active to receive your stake multiplied by the value shown when the request is completed. Your participation in that round ends once the full return has been collected.

  3. Use 50% cashout: This option divides the active position into two equal parts. Half is paid at the current multiplier, while the remaining half continues with the rocket. You keep the collected portion if the round subsequently ends, but the outstanding portion is lost.

  4. Place a second bet: Rocketon supports two independent wagers during the same round. Each can use a different stake and cash-out decision, allowing one position to be collected while the other remains active.

  5. Set automatic instructions: Auto Cashout collects the associated wager when a chosen multiplier is reached. Auto Bet repeats the selected betting setup over subsequent rounds, subject to any limits or stopping conditions available in the casino’s version.

For example, a 10 bet using 50% cashout at 2.00x would divide the active wager in two. One 5 portion would be paid at 2.00x for a 10 return, while the remaining 5 would continue. If that second portion later reached 5.00x and was collected, it would return a further 25. If the rocket ended before another collection, the initial 10 would remain secured.

The two bet panels are separate wagers rather than two halves of one stake. Opening both therefore increases the total amount committed to a round. 50% cashout can provide additional control within an active panel, but it cannot change the result generated for the rocket.

Recent multiplier results and information about other players appear around the main launch display. They provide a record of completed rounds and current activity. Each new result is generated independently, so a sequence of short or long launches offers no reliable clue about what will happen next.

Galaxsys also lists a Bonus System among Rocketon’s features. This allows casinos to provide Free Bet and Free Amount awards under terms chosen by the operator. Availability will consequently differ between sites and should not be confused with a randomly triggered bonus round inside the base game.

Rocketon - Design

Whilst the overall game screen is slightly dated, the intro video ahead of each launch is very impressive. Rocketon unfolds at a launch complex after dark. Floodlights pick out the rocket and surrounding metal structures, while smoke and engine fire gather beneath the vehicle as the multiplier begins to move. The night setting gives the exhaust effects plenty of contrast and helps the central launch stand out from the interface.

The presentation feels closer to a televised space mission than a crash game. Deep blues, metallic greys and sharp areas of orange light establish a serious tone, with the rocket remaining the visual focus throughout the round.

Movement is initially concentrated around the launchpad. Vapour, flames and mechanical activity suggest that the rocket is building power, then the vehicle accelerates away as the multiplier reaches its eventual stopping point. This makes the end of a round feel like the culmination of the countdown rather than an arbitrary number disappearing from a graph.

The rising figure remains large enough to follow without obscuring the rocket. Recent results, player information and betting controls are arranged around the launch window, with the two wager panels occupying much of the lower portion of the screen.

The desktop layout has enough room to display the rocket, two bet panels and supporting statistics together. On mobile, the launch animation and active collection buttons receive priority, with secondary information occupying smaller panels.

The visual presentation has held up well for a game released in 2018, but the surrounding interface is a bit rough for this day and age. Newer crash titles offer more elaborate environments, character animation or long-term customisation, but the launchpad still has impact.

Rocketon - Win Potential

Rocketon has an RTP of 96.72%. This represents a theoretical house edge of 3.28%, measured across a very large number of wagers. It sits close to the 97% benchmark established by games such as Aviator and Aviatrix.

The developer’s general explanation of crash games states that multipliers can theoretically continue to very high values without a predefined category-wide limit. In practice, individual games and casinos can impose maximum cash-out values, stake limits or monetary payout caps. A player may consequently reach the operator’s payout ceiling before the rocket reaches its technical limit.

Rocketon has no selectable volatility setting. A low Auto Cashout target creates more opportunities to collect comparatively small returns, while a high target succeeds less frequently and produces a larger multiplier when reached. The result can still fall close to 1.00x, giving players little time to act manually.

50% cashout changes the shape of a possible return. Once activated, one half is secured at the multiplier already reached. The other half continues to face the full risk of the round ending. This can soften the impact of a later crash, particularly when the collected amount already covers the original stake, but it also reduces the portion benefiting from any further rise.

Auto Cashout can be valuable when the intended exit point has already been chosen. It removes the delay involved in pressing the button manually, provided the multiplier reaches the specified figure.

What we like

  • 50% cashout is always a welcome feature securing half the win
  • The intro cutscene is still pretty strong despite the game's age

What we don't like

  • Galaxsys does not publish a universal maximum multiplier online for Rocketon
  • The repeated launch sequence slows down gameplay

The bottom line

4.3/5

Rocketon’s standout feature is its 50% Cashout option, which allows players to secure part of a return while continuing the round with the remainder. Combined with two betting panels and separate Auto Cashout settings, it provides more flexibility than a conventional all-or-nothing crash game.

Its dark launchpad, heavy machinery, exhaust effects and realistic rocket also give Rocketon a convincing space-centre identity that has aged well. The 96.72% RTP is competitive, sitting just below several leading 97% alternatives but comfortably above many games offered at 95% or 96%. Rocketon remains a polished and worthwhile crash game despite its age.
