The boundary rope is a distant memory in CricX, where a red cricket ball heads for the stars and an ordinary innings gives way to multipliers up to 10,000x.
CricX is a cricket-themed multiplayer crash game from OnlyPlay, released on 28th November 2024. The action follows a red cricket ball through an outer-space backdrop, with a rising multiplier determining the return available to players who collect before the round ends.
You can place up to two wagers on each round and settle them individually, either manually or using automatic cash-out targets. CricX has a headline RTP of 97%, a maximum multiplier of 10,000x and a high volatility rating.
Set your stake. Adjust the amount in a betting panel using the stake field, plus and minus controls or preset buttons. Check the limits at your casino before confirming.
Add a second wager if wanted. The other panel has its own stake and collection controls, allowing you to make two separate cash-out decisions during the same round.
Choose manual or automatic collection. Open AUTO mode to access Auto X, enable it and set your target. The official demo starts at 1.35x. Auto X only collects if the round reaches the selected multiplier before ending.
Confirm before the ball moves. Press BET during the betting window. Confirm each panel separately if you are using both.
Collect your return. As the ball travels and the multiplier increases, press TAKE on an active panel to settle that wager. Collecting one does not automatically settle the other.
Understand the losing outcome. When the ball’s flight ends, all uncollected wagers are lost. A round can finish at 1.00x, before a profitable collection becomes possible.
Auto Bet can repeat your wager on successive rounds. It is separate from Auto X, which controls collection, so enabling one should not be mistaken for enabling both. Automatic betting availability may depend on the casino and market.
The player panel records bets and cash-outs, with All Bets, My Bets and Previous views. Completed multipliers appear across the top, while emoji reactions let players respond to the action. These displays describe what has happened; they cannot predict the next result.

Our problem with CricX is how little cricket is actually involved in the experience. The red ball is instantly recognisable, but it spends its time travelling through space and not enough time on a cricket pitch. For a sports themed crash game we simply expected more sport and ambition.
The ball stands out against the dark background, the multiplier is prominent, and the betting panels sit neatly beneath the action. On desktop, the player list occupies its own column to the left. Nothing about the layout makes a straightforward game unnecessarily difficult, and that is its strongest design quality.
What it lacks is a convincing setting around the action. A batting sequence, a recognisable cricket ground or changing views as the ball travelled could have given the theme more purpose. Instead, the scenery provides a cosmic backdrop to essentially the same movement each round. The problem becomes more noticeable with repetition because there is so little else to discover.
We had similar reservations about GoalX. OnlyPlay understands how to make the core controls accessible, but the sporting identity feels thin.
CricketerX shows how much more this theme can offer. Its cricket-ground setting and animated journey gave us the sense of occasion we were missing here. CricX arrived first, in 2024, so it deserves to be considered in that context. Even allowing for its age, though, we think there was room to do considerably more with the idea.
There are practical touches worth acknowledging. Animation can be switched off, sound can be muted, and emoji reactions bring some player interaction to the screen. Portrait and landscape support cater for mobile play, with a game size under 1MB. Those choices suit quick, uncomplicated sessions, but they do more for convenience than character.

At 97% RTP, CricX has a theoretical house edge of 3%. This is a long-term mathematical figure across a large volume of wagers, not a promise to return 97% of an individual player’s balance.
The maximum multiplier is 10,000x the stake. Stakes commonly run from 1 to 50, although operator and currency settings can change those limits. A multiplier ceiling and a monetary payment cap are different restrictions: any maximum-payment limit applied by your casino can reduce the amount payable, so check both before playing.
An early cash-out target can still lose. Auto X follows your chosen instruction only if that multiplier is reached, and it cannot recover a wager from an earlier crash. Using two panels gives you different collection points without improving the underlying RTP or creating two independent round outcomes.
The ball’s position, the background animation and other players’ exits offer no reliable warning of the finishing multiplier. Previous results do not make a particular outcome due. Cricket knowledge, betting patterns and predictor tools cannot guarantee a profit.
Yes. CricX documents a cryptographic verification system in its fairness menu. The game combines a server seed with three player seeds and uses a SHA-512 hash to derive the round’s result.
Before play, the fairness settings expose hash information for the upcoming round, with the result portion excluded. After a round finishes, clicking its multiplier in the history opens the server seed, player seeds, combined hash and result for checking.
This lets players verify completed outcomes rather than relying solely on a claim of RNG certification. It does not reveal future results or remove the house edge.
CricX works better as a straightforward crash game than as a cricket-themed experience. The controls are clear and the basic action is easy to follow, but we kept coming back to how little OnlyPlay had done with the theme. A cricket ball drifting through space gives us the equipment without much of the occasion, which leaves us with many of the same reservations we had about GoalX.
Its 2024 release deserves some allowance when comparing it with the later CricketerX. Even so, the difference in ambition is hard to overlook. Players who simply want familiar crash mechanics may be content here, but the presentation gives us little reason to return. We would have liked OnlyPlay to take a bigger swing.
OnlyPlay’s specification is 97%, equivalent to a 3% theoretical house edge.
The maximum multiplier is 10,000x your stake. Any separate monetary payment cap at your casino can limit the amount you receive.
No. The ball moves automatically while the multiplier increases. Your decisions concern your stakes and when to collect, with up to two separate wagers available per round.
